Was booted by Kaboom this morning until 2034…

if I may ask, why?

I’m one of the most frequent players to this game, a member of a squad, and a friend to many people in this game.

For all the talk about retaining players and trying to keep Wulfram alive, you are being extremely harsh on your players.

I remember Maggot (Maggie Simpson) had a post in the old server, where he was basically piss drunk and was extremely incoherent. The Wulfram Activists and TRNs had no problem giving him crap and I do remember one player’s post (I don’t remember the exact person, sorry, maybe Shao or HaX?) where he/she pointed out the fallacies in this game. I joined Wulfram in May of 2006 at behest of one of my friends. After living in the TRN server for a bit, I journeyed into the Reg, where I was constantly beat up. After about 60 hours in Reg, I left Wulfram for about 2 years, only returning in about June or July of this year, 2008. Now I have added another 100 hours to my "resume".

What I want to know is, how corrupted is this game? During the first days, I’m sure it was a popular game with many people logging on at all sorts of times. When I joined, the game still had life, squads such as TDR , MOB, UA!, and KAG were the big names and hosted the big players of the game.
However, I left soon after, adn now returning, I see the game in complete chaos. "Sustainers" to the game have pull and all sorts of access to the rulers of the game (MODS). The only active MOD I have seen recently is Four, who popped in a couple weeks ago.

I learned from Shaolin that some players of this game had been life-banned for various reasons. One in particular had intruded another’s personal space and had continued to pest and annoy this person. Player A had been involved with Player B in the real world. However, after breaking up, Player A began "stalking" Player B. Player B had some "pull" with the MOD department and was about to ban Player A.

However, I still see Player A today. After how many life bans, Player A is still playing. Player A is also a sustainer to the game and one of the oldest players with thousands of hours credited to their name.

So if this person had been life-banned and still had squirmed their way out, is this game even worth playing anymore?

Those that donate to this game have always been said to be treated "no differently than others".
I can say that this is a complete "PR" act and has never, will never, and shall never be true.

Wulfram is dying.

There are corrupt MODs (Some nice TRNs. Don’t kill the poodle). There are those that are able to bribe the ruling "class" of Wulfram with their donations.
There are nice players.

The game developer has essentially given up hope on continuing to work on this game, whether it be life issues or computer issues. The fact is, Slurpy has not touched or made an update to this game in quite a while.

When I edited my keymap a while back, some people in Wulfram had given me the suggestion "but make it a read-only, in the unlikely event that there is an update".

The game is dead.
The MODs are dead.
The TRNs are dead.
The Slurpster is dead.

All you have left are the players.

And now you’re trying to kill them off too.

What I have at least gotten from this is that however good something is, it will never last.

I know that EID is moving on to other games. I have joined them in a non-Wulfram sense, as in I have started a Combat Arms clan for them and I intend to lead EID ’s CA division to victory in many wars. Although my loyalty in Wulfram was to Phenomenon, that loyalty is gone with my “ban”. It’s time for players start moving on.

Wulfram is dead.

I do not know why. I have not banned anyone from the game in forever! Well , I really am not sure when the last ban was it was that long ago. Without our old site I am not even sure I can do anything about it. I can not see your profile to see why it was issued nor can I see when it was issued. I will see tonight when I get at home ( am at work) if there is anything that I can do.

Is there any way to make new accounts on this site? If I have been banned for some odd reason until 2034, what shall I do for the next 28 years?
Besides actually living life.

We need Bewarethetitan back in game. I played a lot las week, he don’t maked nothing banneable. Please Kaboom, make something.

At this time this website doesn’t have the functionality to create new accounts. I wonder if the crash sent some sort of errror out that just happen to ban you….wow that sux

As for your whole little rant aobut the corruptiveness of this game. I agree.

I am sure I must have had a very good reason then. I dont ban players forever for no reason. But at this time I do not have any way to see why I did it. Maybe it was his positive attitude? There is nothing I can do at this time. I would love to look into it more when the server allows me to do so.

Eh…so I have to find other methods of entertainment until the server is updated and patched and crap?

On the other site all banning was done via a tool in your profiles, this is not available to us on this temp site. I do not lie and I am very offended by your accusations.

1) Since Kaboom is a Sr. MOD , she can not give a ban for longer than 3 years.

2) The only way for you to get banned until 2034, is that you got a 9999 day ban for making a new account, cause that is what we MODs do when some one makes a new account, till we get an email from the person that did it and explains why there is a new account. The only person that can give a ban that long or longer, is the Head MOD , EagleClaw and he has been MIA for about 3 months now. So i doubt he did it.

3) Without the old server/web site, that died, we MODs can not pull up anyone’s account to see who is banned, what for or remove any bans.

I apologize if this is not what you or anyone else wants to hear, but there is nothing, at the moment, that can be done about it with out the old site/server.

Four: 3 years are like 1095 days. Thats what the Sr.MOD can make. (you said). In the other hand one MOD (without Sr), can give 9999 days, like 27.4 years…

Looking at your posts, it doesn’t look like you have emailed Slurpy about this. If I’m wrong and you have. What did he say?
The other, better question is: If you were banned and had done nothing wrong. Why would you ask "why am I banned"? When you should be asking "what can be done to unban me"? You make it sound like there might be reason to ban you. And your just curious if they caught you for the right reasons.

Did anyone say anything at all to Slurpy? Right now the only way this is getting fixed is through him.

My apologies. I thought it was clear in what I said, but, I guess it was not. Let me explain it another way.

A regular MOD , like my self, is not supposed to give a ban longer than 30 days. A Sr. MOD is not supposed to ban longer than 3 years.

There is an exception to those rules. Regular & Sr. MODs can give a 9999 day ban, if we see that a player who has created a new account, without informing a MOD , then we can go beyond what we are supposed to do and give a 9999 day ban. But, we only do that for that reason only. That way the player can not play until they email the MOD , that banned them and explain why they created a new account. If the reason is justifiable, then we will lift the ban or if the reason is not justifiable, then we lower the ban to 1 day, 3 day, 7 day, etc., etc., ban.

I hope that clarifies it up. Again, my apologies for it not being clear the 1st time.

In titans case, if he was playing one day, and then has a ban, until 2034, the next, then there had to be a glitch/bug in the system, somewhere, that handed out a rather unusually long ban, that should not have been placed. If it happens to 1, then there is a possibility that it will happen to others and that would surely suck.

Idea. What happens if you re-ban him again but set the time to like 10 minutes?

I did help set up my idiot friend’s account a few years back before my hibernation from Wulfy. However, I had no idea that would come back to bite me in the …rear end.

That could be the reason Kaboomnub banned me…but soon after my friend tried Wulfy (like 30 seconds after), he quit it and school was starting to come back…so i went into hibernation.

I emailed Slurpy, but I have no idea how often he checks his Wulfram account or whatever.

Four, I set up the Live! thing…I’m not too sure if it will work.

Hehe, I’ve been banned from the game. I wonder how long it will take to be banned from the forums for excessive spam, lol

OK! I tried to see what I could do to remove his ban, to no avail. I have screen shots of what happens when titan tries to log in. There is one prob with it. When he tries to log in it says:

"User bewarethetitan was blocked by Kaboom [TRN] until 2034-06-13 18:16:13, and will be forced to leave…"
"Kaboom [TRN] is kicking bewarethetitan out of the game!"

The prob I see is that is says "Kaboom [TRN]" and not "Kaboom [MOD]" like it should. TRNs do not have the power to ban any one. Only MODs do and there is no way, that if she did ban some one, it would say [TRN], it would say [MOD].

This is a system glitch. Kaboom did not ban him, the system did. Only Slurpy can fix this, not any MOD .

The only way any MOD can remove this was on the old server/site. Cause on there we could pull up the accounts and physically remove them, but, now we can not. So we can not remove the ban. Only Slurpy can.

Slurpy is aware of this and is working on fixing it.

I have to thank Four for the time that he spent working on my case. Yay Four!

Ah, where is the " Sorry Kaboom, my bad " . I have known and dealt with Kaboom on many things in Wulfram. If there ever was a more honest Mod, I haven’t met him/her yet.

A person logged in as [TRN] does not have the permissions to block or ban someone. A person MUST be logged in as [MOD] in order to do this. Thus it would say [MOD] after the name and not [TRN].

A trainer’s powers are only to check and change a players level, cycle the map, and in a worse case scenario "kick" a player which ONLY knocks them out at that moment it is entered into the server, the player can log right back in.
I suppose if it had come up as any other trainer, it would be more obvious. But since this trainer is also a MOD .

Titan i hope that you get back in the game soon, too bad it didn’t happen to an inactive player instead of an active one. I’m glad that this inconvenience hasn’t curbed your desire to play wulfram.

The admin site that allows mods to ban/unban is not currently available, so its not possible to ban/unban through that (not sure if you can still ban/unban old style but if a ban was made through the admin site it must be removed that way too).

have a horrible feeling that this may be an old ban that has since been lifted and was on the old database that slurpy restored. If thats the case then only slurpy can remove the ban at this time

Nerver Kaboom was accused (for me at least). I only bing here what I saw. Only facts.
And not so well… for the thing of [TRN] insted [MOD].
I know now that one [TRN] can’t ban.

Anyway, for me the porblem was never Kaboom but the ban of Titan, because I was there in that moment.
Error founded, all world happy.
